Games at Twilight

 

Elements:

1- The unattainable object of desire: This is present in this story, when Ravi has these desire of won the game and being an adult.

2- Trespassing: This is present in the story, when Ravi was hiding in the shed, because the mother said them that they only would played in the porsche, no steps away of it.

3- They should be a DARE: This is present,  when Ravi entered to the shed. On the one hand, he was afraid and frightening from this spooky and dark place. On the other hand, he was brave because he contrast his own identity.

4- The “ mischief” should be owned up : This is not present in the story because Ravi didn’t act in a mature way because he is still a crybaby.

5- There should be an act of Atonement: This is not present in the story because Ravi did not act with responsibility, he is acting in an immature way.

 

The Prison

 

1- The unattainable object of desire: This is present in the story. The objective of desire of Tommy is to save the girl.

2- Trespassing: This is present in the story. He bought a slot machine with his money, without telling Rosa and his father.

3-  They should be a DARE : This is present in the story. His dare was to save the girl to be a thief.

4-  The “mischief” should be owned up : This is not present in the story. We can see it clearly when Tommy hit Rosa, he act in an immature.

5-  There should be an act of Atonement : This is not present in the story. Tommy never say sorry to Rosa and he also did not act in a mature way.
