1- The aims of the League were:
- To tried to take out the aggression from any nation.
- To tried that countries to cooperate, especially in business and
- They had the idea that all the nations had to disarm.
- To improve the living and working conditions of people in all parts of the world.
2- The reason why Wilson didn’t join the League, was because Woodrow was sick. But when Wilson went back to USA, he had problems.
3- The German immigrants didn’t want to join the League because the German ancestors, hated the Treaty itself.
4- One of the reasons that USA gave to be out of the League was because she suffered economic problems.
5- The Americans were anti empires, which means that they didn’t want to be ruled by anyone, only by themselves.
6- The reason why Poland invaded Vilna was… because he was pulling out. The League did not act about, because they weren’t prepared to this situation.
7- In 1921, there was a dispute between Germany and Poland, because both countries wanted the region Upper Silesia. At the end, they divided the region between Germany and Poland, both countries accepted the decision.
8- The League didn’t solve the conflict because they protested to Poland but they didn’t pull out.
9- In 1920, there was a dispute between Finland and Sweden. Both sides were threatening to go to war, but the League decided to gave Aaland Islands to Finland. The Sweden country accepted.
10- On 31 of August the Mussolini bombarded and then occupied the Greek island of Corfu and fifteen people were killed.
11- The league was criticised about the resolution of the Corfu conflict because Mussolini refused to let matter the rest. They didn’t want to pay for the reparations.
12- What did that what weaken the league was that they said that if two members were in a dispute they would have to ask the league to sort out the disagreement and they have to accept the council ideas. they believe that this would strengthen the league but they don’t.
13- Bulgaria, Greece invaded by an accident which caused the death of many Greek soldiers.
14- Greece complain that the League “seemed to have one rule for the large states (such as italy) and another for the smaller ones”, because Gracee wanted to be ruled by themselves, this means that they didn’t want to be Italy property.
